@MorganRSperry Genau!!😇 And I am truly sorry to say this, but I hope @ewarren does not become the VP candidate. She can and will do so much more at Senate than as VP. In addition, MA governor is R. We will lose 1 critical vote for 1 year. I hope @staceyabrams becomes the VP candidate 😊

@textualdeviance @amyklobuchar @PodSaveAmerica @danpfeiffer I am not saying the entire vote-by-mail system is broken. Check what I said. What I am saying is it has clear vulnerability and we have a fact that at least a bad player used it. I have been thinking how to fix it, but in vain until now. I have now some hunch.

@textualdeviance @amyklobuchar @PodSaveAmerica @danpfeiffer I do support vote-by-mail and I love it. However, it is not good to be blind to its vulnerability. I am not sure how to fix it, we must not ignore it. Voter impersonation does not scale, but ballot harvesting scales. Imagine each of 100 harvesters collects 100 ballots. It's 10K.

@amyklobuchar I do support vote-by-mail, but it has its own vulnerability. Please add measurements to prevent ballot tampering. Otherwise we may have this in a massive scale. https://www.npr.org/2019/07/30/746800630/north-carolina-gop-operative-faces-new-felony-charges-that-allege-ballot-fraud…

@StedmanBarbara @PodSaveAmerica @jonfavs @SenAmyKlobuchar We had few ballot tampering in the past does not mean we do not have to do anything. I *DO* support vote-by-mail. What I want to say is that it has vulnerability and we need to think ahead and prevent it. At least we must make ballot collection illegal. It is not in CA 2/2
posted at 14:23:15
@StedmanBarbara @PodSaveAmerica @jonfavs @SenAmyKlobuchar Voter disenfranchisement can be done with vote-by-mail, e.g. voter purge. They are different issues. The rare fraud you mentioned is disguising. It is *EASY* to collect blank ballots, and they will definitely do this in a massive scale once they know this. 1/2
posted at 14:18:16
@StedmanBarbara @PodSaveAmerica @jonfavs @SenAmyKlobuchar "much more important than minuscule chance of fraud": I agree in the normal circumstances, but the R candidate won by 900 votes in the NC case I keep mentioning. And also remember that PA, WI, and MI were decided by "minuscule" differences in 2016.

@StedmanBarbara @PodSaveAmerica @jonfavs @SenAmyKlobuchar Nobody *IS* collecting ballots in your neighborhood, but somebody *COULD* collect ballots from people, right? I am not talking about normal cases. I am talking about a potential security breach and ballot tampering. And it *DID* happen in NC in 2018. https://www.npr.org/2019/07/30/746800630/north-carolina-gop-operative-faces-new-felony-charges-that-allege-ballot-fraud…
