高校･大学･職場（自分で言うのもなんだがいわゆる高学歴だ）を通じての女友だちは無子が多数派。会社員時代の編集部仲間は全員年齢の近い女性だが、結局誰も産んでない。岩間先生のコメント「少子化を女性問題だと思っているうちは解決しません。」これに尽きる。
